2010 Women’s Jewelry Association boardFebruary 2010 – The Women’s Jewelry Association recently announced the appointment of Kendra Bridel Weinman as its incoming president. Ms. Weinman succeeds Yancy Weinrich, Luxury by JCK and JCK Las Vegas, who completed her two-year term in that role.
Ms. Weinman, president of Lusciouss International, has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and over 11 years of experience in the jewelry industry, including positions at Montblanc and Taché Jewelry, where she ran Taché’s luxury division. She is enthusiastic about this new opportunity to give back to an organization that she has been a member of since the start of her career in the industry.
“Over the next two years, WJA will be rolling out new events and initiatives that are focused on our three major platforms -- business services, leadership development, and education,” explained Weinman, “Our main priority, and my primary goal as president, is to continue to add value to the WJA membership.”
Newly elected board members include Ruth Batson, American Gem Society; Patti Geolat, Geolat Companies; Anne Valentzas, Leo Schacter Diamonds; and Denise Shaffer, CTP, Sterling Jewelers.
The board recognized retiring board members Ronni Klein, International Bronze; Norma Haas, ENH International; and Kathryn Kimmel, Gemological Institute of America.
